About the Author

Worth the money. Highly reccomend.

After looking at web sites like legalzoom and others and their poor reviews and trying to download a "free" (except for the spyware) sample limited liability partnership agreement i found this on Amazon. It's just what I was looking for. Lots of info to consider before venturing into a partnership. and you can go to the publishers web site and download their partnership agreement and edit it in to your own needs. If you need more than this book then you need an attorney anyway.
And best of all when I wake up at 4 am worrying about forming the partnership, reading this book puts me back to sleep after about 20 minutes.

Good References! Where is the CD containing the forms?

Content is fine. This book has a lot of very useful information. Although, in my opinion, it is NO substitute for an attorney and/or CPA, the book helps to have meaningful conversations with these professionals.
NOLO.COM states that this book (ISBN 9781413313925) includes forms on a CD ROM. Where is the CD? The copy that I received from Amazon did not have a CD! That is why the rating is 3 stars, otherwise, it would have been 5 stars.

What an eye-opening book this is!! Nikki doesn't hold back and for anyone who reads it, you too will be surprised. Or maybe you won't! Maybe it will be exactly how you pictured the NFL, but I doubt it.

For anyone interested in life inside the NFL

This is a "must read" for anyone who:

1. Is a player in the NFL

2. Is the mother, wife, girlfriend of an NFL player

3. Is someone aspiring to play in the NFL

4. Is the parent of someone aspiring to play in the NFL

5. Is a relative of someone playing in the NFL

6. Is someone who's interested in life inside the NFL!

The author, Nikki Berti doesn't pull any punches in her first-account expose. She names names, and provides details of some of the bizarre, rude, obnoxious players, wives, and coaches of some of your favorite franchises. This is the entertainment part of her book!

The instructional part comes in the form of actions taken and decisions made by Nikki and her husband Tony. Some are good, sound decisions. Decisions that kept the Berti's from falling into the traps associated with money and fame. But Nikki also discusses the mistakes they made. What decisions they would do over if given the chance; if someone had written a book honestly presenting the less glamorous side of professional sports. Nikki has written such a book.

I purchased this book looking for some insight into the minds of the women of the nfl. Nicole Berti lays it out in a forward, plain spoken, no holds barred analysis. She covers the draft, life in a new city, her NFL peers and the life - the good, the bad and the ugly. She makes a great point about the woman married to these guys - they are always asked if they married them pre-fame or post-fame. She nails it on the head when she reveals the assumptions made by the public, the fans and the groupies. Great read for anyone who is looking for the real NFL from a womans perspective - not the tv version.

About the Author

Until his death in late 2011, Stephen R. Elias was a practicing attorney, active Nolo author, and president of the National Bankruptcy Law Project. He was the author or coauthor of many Nolo books, including How to File for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. Steve held a law degree from Hastings College of Law and practiced law in California, New York, and Vermont before joining Nolo in 1980. He was featured in such major media as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Good Morning America, 20/20, Money Magazine, and more. The blog he began on bankruptcy and foreclosure law continues at Nolo's Bankruptcy & Foreclosure Blog.

Patricia Dzikowski, a practicing bankruptcy lawyer in Florida for 30 years. Patricia served as a panel bankruptcy trustee for more than 15 years, having administered more than 18,000 Chapter 7 cases. She has also served by appointment as a Chapter 11 Trustee, Chapter 11 Examiner, and the in-country (U. S.) trustee in a proceeding ancillary to a foreign bankruptcy case. The subject of Court Rules, Family Law and Domestic Relations is near and dear to me, as a Dad who loves his kids and family more than anything, I can tell you this reading is worth your time. Ngo The Vinh was an ARVN Airborne Ranger M.D. during the Vietnam War. FULL OF COMPASSION AND WITHOUT HATRED

Ever since before 1975, in the Vietnamese circle of literature and the arts, Ngo The Vinh has been a familiar name. To the circle of physicians, dentists and pharmacists in particular, he is a gifted writer admired by friends and colleagues, not only for his creative talent but also for his dignified personality and his way of thinking.

Ngo The Vinh is well-informed and highly discerning of the political situation and its development. Embedded in each of his works is a perspective on the country. Indeed, all the twelve stories in the collection "The Battle of Saigon" bear out that thematic focus. Fundamentally a very warm-hearted and upright person, he accepted and resigned himself to the position of one caught in a cross fire, all the while being full of compassion and without hatred. Both sides of the conflict seemed uncomfortable and distrustful of him.

The reason for their negative feeling was that while using politics for the background of his works, Ngo The Vinh let his conscience guide his presentation and his expression. It was precisely that pure, humane and compassionate conscience that unmasked dark political chicaneries which, like an animal hiding in the dark of night, when exposed to light would wriggle violently in disquieting protest.

My last impression is that Ngo The Vinh's prose is clear, his style highly polished, and his stories substantial. We should read him in order to understand why he has chosen to engage in writing and for what reason "The Battle of Saigon" makes its appearance overseas.

THE BATTLE OF SAIGON HAS NEVER ENDED

It turns out that "The Battle of Saigon" has never ended and also will never end. Violent situations, cruel and brutal circumstances have exploded all over the South and spread to the North, to every place where live people of Vietnamese origins burdened with concealed tragedies. And to places where Ngo The Vinh more than once had, as a visionary, perceived heart-rending reality, from which he wrote The Green Belt and The Battle of Saigon, when both he and I were still very young. The reality also turns out to be that a writer possesses no power other than a sensitive heart that foresees in whole the Collective Pain. And from that time until now, among the Vietnamese, the Vietnam issue has remained as ever saturated with contradiction and opposition between people of all camps in connection to the war. Every one should read "The Battle of Saigon", re-read it in order to reduce to some extent the cruelty and ruthlessness of the battle prevailing at present in Saigon, even in Hanoi, in the Central Highlands, in each of us here, overseas Vietnamese residing in the United States of America.

Ngo The Vinh is a writer of dreams, or more precisely, an author of conscience. In my first novel, "The Nonconformist", I reserved almost a chapter to refer to Ngo The Vinh, as a token of gratitude. I called him `my conscience'. And now, more than twenty years later, as I contemplate the man and his latest works, I find that my opinions about him stay the same as before. He continues to be a socially-committed writer. Indeed, Ngo The Vinh remains the voice of heart and conscience.

About the Author
Paul Bergman is a Professor of Law at the UCLA School of Law and a recipient of a University Distinguished Teaching Award. His recent books include Reel Justice: The Courtroom Goes to the Movies (Andrews & McMeel); Trial Advocacy: Inferences, Arguments, Techniques (with Moore and Binder, West Publishing Co.); and Represent Yourself In Court and The Criminal Law Handbook (both with Sara Berman, Nolo). He has also published numerous articles in law journals and regularly gives presentations on how law and lawyers are portrayed in film. I'm a BIG fan of NOLO law books.

I read the 10th edition of this book, which was published in 2008. It is a great book to help with a study of criminal law. It's also a comfort if you are currently charged with a crime and awaiting a trial, or a hearing before the judge. It informs you of the steps that you go through as you wind your way through the legal system. If you are going to trial, I strongly recommend that you have a trial by jury, if that is an option. Six (or more) jurors have to unanimously find you guilty in order to be convicted. If you choose to have your case be heard only by the judge, then that one person will decide your fate. If your attorney tries to convince you that a bench trial, with the judge deciding your case, is the best option for whatever reason, I would "just say NO" to the trial by judge option. I have nothing against judges and their ability to give you a fair trial. However, if only one person in a jury trial finds you not guilty, you will be acquitted due to the hung jury. Acquitted may not be the correct term. You may just be a person that still has a charge against you. If you do have a hung jury, I believe the prosecution can retry you in front of a new jury. Depending on the charge(s) against you, and the evidence that they have, they will decide if it is worth the time and effort to go through another trial. If they decide to not retry your case, I would think that the charge(s) against you would be dropped. I'm not an attorney, and I don't play one on TV. Some of what I have written may not be factual. However, there is one part of my book review that I am VERY sure of. If you go to trial, choose to have a jury trial IF it is an option for you. I mentioned that I read the 2008 edition of this NOLO law book. I just spent about thirty minutes comparing the text in my book to the text in the book that Amazon allows you to sample. I saw almost no changes between the two editions. I noticed that some statistics were more current in this 2013 edition. An older edition would suffice if you are trying to save money.

Really Good

I have to say the timing on putting a volume dedicated to a flash back right after the time skip in the actual story beguns is perfect, it also fills in the mysteries of Negisa and how the life of Shinji's parents were during their school days and what sacrifices each gave for each other.

Engaging Backstory of Gendo and Yui

This is the most original of the volumes because it attaches sympathy to two characters who were not elaborated upon in depth in the original series: Yui and Gendo. Though it is essentially a "Beauty and the Beast" scenario, the characters progress rather well through this side story and I was genuinely interested in where the plot went. However, this was mainly formed to tie Kaworu in full circle and answer a few questions about his role in Shinji's life. Though many things are not explained, more out of a lack of desire to illuminate the powers working out of sight on the writer's part, this volume still holds together well enough. Kaworu has become the most interesting character in this manga series, and I'm glad we got to delve a bit more into his purpose even if it still isn't explained well enough. Gendo still has no pardon for his present behavior, though.

A great story line, based on one of the best animes ever, this is a spin-off, a "what would have been". Great for hardcore fans. As for the edition, the quality of the book itself is high, with high density paper and solid bindings. A must have for true fans.

A new look at the scientific and religious views.

This is not an easy read, but it is well worth the effort. I find Pelton's ideas about the construction of the physical universe very interesting. His analysis of the purpose of free will and the psychological makeup of the human being is fascinating. These two make a convincing argument for the presence of an intelligent and loving creator of the universe. However, when Pelton applies quotes from the Bible to his arguments, his Biblical scholarship lacks the same objective distance that his views on science have. What he proposes from the Bible is much more faith based than objective. It does not make sense to me that a wise and loving creator of all things would limit his revelation to one person and thereby require belief in that one person. If you like books that make you think, this is one you will want to read.
