Hot, Spicy and Delicious

Like the pizza and other Italian cuisine that Tom and Sandi like to eat, this novel is hot, spicy, and delicious! The love story is passionate to say the least, the pace is hot, and the plot twists and turns are more than delicious. I got dropped into the novel somewhere along the line, maybe because I felt as though I was there (thanks to the great detail in the descriptive parts), listening to the characters and how real all the dialogue is. The humor was an added treat with all those stories about the high school and the students that are in the novel. I have a feeling this novel is not totally "fictional" either! I am already hoping that Ed Buhrer has more to offer readers. When are they going to make a novel out of this and his first novel (which I just got from my sister and read)? Eight hot, spicy, delicious slices up for the author!

Absolutely a Winner!

The money I spent on this novel was the best purchase I've made in the past year or so. A former student of the author told me about this book and its predecessor so I decided to read the sequel first because she has the first novel. Anyway, I really loved this novel; it's funny and sweet and at the same time, powerful and meaningful. The conversations between Tom and Sandi have depth and sound like real people talking, both in what they say and how the author has them saying it. I often found myself so caught up in the plot(s) that I forgot where I was sometimes. Like the cover says, you'll be glad you read this. Oh yes, I really loved the "dictionary" definitions at the beginning. I will read anything by Ed Buhrer. I hope he has more on the way because I'm waiting.

SIMPLY DELIGHTFUL!

My wife read the author's first novel, Luray, and loved it, so when, of all things, a sequel appeared, she ordered it from the publisher right away. Then she read it in about two or three hours. I know because I had to go out for pizza, which Tom and Sandi seem to like a lot, too. Then I read the first novel before I could read the sequel (wife's orders!). Both books are super: great characters with real human emotions, realistic dialogue, deep detail in the description. Made me feel as if I was in the novel at times (wished I was at times). This has it all in a very fast-reading novel: love, cooking, suspense, laughs, funny school situations, intricate and surprising subplots. Great read. Hope Ed Buhrer has more coming--and soon!
