At a time when our media, university, and movie moguls were plotting new ways to bring down the next two American presidencies, some 18- and 19-year-old American kids suddenly became expendable to the personal agendas of moguls and presidents alike. This book is not your designer Hollywood-crybaby confessional designed to malign those who fought and died in an “immoral war.” It is a real story that spans the course of three combat commands and portrays the bravery and honor of America’s young men ordered to fight in those commands. Young men who took a green lieutenant under their wing and learned together how to repeatedly beat a cunning and well-equipped enemy in their own backyard. Young men who, during the most deadly years of fighting in Vietnam, lost only one man to enemy rifle fire. Though many still profit from their condemnation, those abandoned Americans were never Orphans of Honor.

Fox Force
By Michael G Coltrin
I served in Fox Force - The Recon Platoon of 1 / 14th infantry 3rd Bde 4th Inf Div with Terry Bender for six months. I was part of the actions he mentions in almost every instance regarding Fox. I was only able to meet with Terry once in the years afterwards. Sadly, he died. With many other Fox Veterans I was proud to honor him by attending his funeral.
This is a true story folks.

I just thought people would like to know a little about this book since there is no description available on this page for some reason. Here is a brief description that my father wrote for his book...

Orphans of Honor
By Eagle
"Orphans of Honor" was a very well written book about the day to day accomplishments, sacrifices, frustrations, and allegiance to one another as soldiers in war time. Though it was written about the Vietnam Nam conflict, the first hand perspective lends to the reader an understanding and sense of gratitude towards the soldiers fighting for our country in all of our country's battles. Soldiers do not get to decide which battles they will participate in, especially during the day of the draft, but we owe them a great debt for their willingness to sacrifice their lives, limbs, and peace of mind for our service. "Orphans of Honor" helped me to more fully realize this. Thanks to Mr. Terry Bender, the author, for his excellent insight. I highly recommend the book.Orphans of Honor
