Insightful book that speaks for all voices

This was an incredible book with sincere insight into the heart and soul of students in almost every position within the bullying in schools that is all too real. I am working to get this book on the novel list for my middle schoolers so we can teach the truth when the worst of it really starts.

very useful resource

I read this book as part of my review of appropriate materials for my work in statewide suicide prevention. I asked my colleagues,staff and college aged children to do the same. We all ageed that this was a riveting,well written book, presented in the "kids vernacular" so that youth can easily relate to this book. It was thoroughly researched and used correct,sensitive language that will not be offensive to those of us who have losted loved ones to suicide. Schools and colleges should include this book as part of their curriculum. Colleges should include the book as a resource for education majors. I plan to use it as a resource in a graduate course I teach on suicide prevention. The additon of a teachers manual to help enhance its eduacational value and long lasting impact on safe messaging,suicide prevention and anti-bullying would be my only suggestion.

A must read for preteens, teenagers and all adults!

Great book! This book will capture your attention from the first page and keep it throughout the Novel. I started it one night and forced myself to put it down after reading half of the book. This book is timely and relavent to todays world. It touches on three topics close to my heart; foster care, suicide and bullying. What is more important is the way L.T. Kodzo weaves this story together. It is apparent that she has done her homework, and her research shows in the way she depicts the mindset of a young person in the foster care system and the mindset of those who bully others. This book is a must read for all teachers, school adminstrators, social workers, foster and adoptive parents, preteens, teenagers and anyone else who works with children from preschool through high school age.
